PEAK Academy is a student-centered school, delivering excellence in education through hands-on, project-based, and differentiated learning. Learning through hands-on activities improves long-term memory, understanding, and critical-thinking skills.

Children learn best when we develop and challenge their strengths, and identify and nurture their weaknesses. PEAK Academy is a place where children are held to high, yet different standards, because "covering the curriculum" won’t advance us far if we fail to recognize children as individual learners.

PEAK learners opperate in three mixed-age learning groups:

Mixed-age learning groups free us from rigid grade-level assumptions, hold students to the highest expectations, and ensure that students are reaching their full potential. This structure allows each child to grow at his or her own pace and promotes collaboration and cooperation instead of the comparison and competition that is so often felt in traditional classrooms. The age guidelines of each camp are approximate, fluid, and flexible; at PEAK Academy, each student is assigned to the camp to which he or she demonstrates readiness and mastery.
